    If you've been thinking about buying an Apple USB Superdrive, don't. Buy this one instead. The form factor is the same, the silent operation is the same, the build quality is the same, except this one comes in two MacBook Pro colors, gray or silver, it has an adapter in case you use USB A instead of USB C plugged into the drive, it even comes with a high-quality case that Apple didn't include.     I ordered this DVD drive to play older movies and store files.
    As the ad says, it's exactly what I needed. Although slightly more expensive than the other drives listed, it is of excellent construction.
    I connected it to my computer via USB-c and had no problems with operation.
    I would also recommend this product for travel.
